No big surprise, my plans for 2011 mostly surround Ironman Lake Placid (only 203 days away!!!)
2011 Plans....
January 28 - February 2 - Baxter ski trip kind of like THIS one
February 6 - Mid Winter 10 Mile Classic
April 16 - Tuckerman Inferno (relay)
May ? - 100 Miles to Nowhere
May 15 - Sugarloaf 15k
May 20 - 22 - Fireman Ironman Camp
June 5 - Rev3 Quassy Half Rev
July 24 - Ironman Lake Placid
August - Baxter Trip similar to THIS one
Um. Mandy, what about the fall?
I am feeling kind of non-committal with races post-Ironman right now - mostly because I am trying to figure out if I can swing going to another Rev 3 event or not. I would love to go to see my team mates and meet some of my blog buddies that are going to be there, I am just not sure that I can get there with time off from work and, well, cash.
I am feeling pretty sure that I want to do the Maine Marathon this fall. I have done that race as a relay before and it is pretty cool. Beyond that, I just am not sure.
So my fall could look like this:
September 11 - Rev 3 Cedar Point (Half Rev)
October 2 - Maine Marathon
OR it could look like this:
September 11 - Pumpkinman Triathlon (HIM)
October 2 - Maine Marathon
OR it might even look like this:
September 10 - Lobsterman Triathlon (Oly)
October 2 - Maine Marathon
So there it is folks, my 2011 plans. I am looking forward to what 2011 has to bring, and I feel like I am starting 2011 in much better shape than I started 2010, so that is a really great thing in my mind.
I wish you all the very best the new year has to offer, and thanks for following my journey!

Here's to a great year!
I also don't have anything planned for the fall. I want to do more but I don't want to commit to a race and then as in years past have it fall through due to injury or lack of funds. So even though it is killing me I am taking a wait and see approach!
Have fun skiing!
Wow, looks like a crazy, fun year. Can't wait to follow your journey!
Looks like you have a great year lined up for yourself!
It's hard to predict what you'll feel like doing after IMLP this far out, but... I vote for fall option #1... Rev3 Cedar Point :) It's going to be blogger-tastic!
Happy New Year!
You'll be at Quassy too? I'm there for the Olympic to prep for IMLP!
Looks like an awesome racing year! I'm still trying to figure mine out!
Excellent year! I'll be at Quassy and CP, so that is my vote!!
What an awesome year you have planned out!
How far of a drive is it from Caratunk to Sandusky?
Anything named "PumpkinMan" is cool. I bet the finisher's medal is awesome!
OK - just google mapped Caratunk to Sandusky - 947mi (I-80 route). That is long.
Here's to a great year!
I like the plan
My vote is Rev3 Cedar Point, I am not bias or anyhing, nope
Happy New Years
Love the schedule. And 100 miles to nowhere? So where does it end? Do you just turn around at 50 miles and head back? Do you use a Garmin? I have lots of questions and being lazy so I would rather ask you then actually click the link.....
Happy New Year to you. BTW - your pic is generating lots of clicks for Marathon Makeover.
I don't know if I can follow you anymore - you may not be hard core enough for me :-)
Hi Mandy,
You have such a great list of races for 2011! It is going to be so fun following your training and hearing about all of these races:) I would love to do a marathon in Maine too....on my future list!
Cheers to a wonderful 2011! Take care! Hugs!
Nice plan! I am with you: not making concrete plans after July 24th....except for paying stupid amounts of $$$ for the NYC Marathon just to keep my hat in that boat.
Hey Teammate! Can't wait to see you in Quassay and Cedar Point. It will be great fun for sure!
Pretty ambitious race schedule this year!
Looks like an awesome schedule. Time for us all to get started.
I like ur thinkin!!!
!203!
almost time to start a ticker countdown!
D
looks like you're going to be a busy girl! Go get 'em!
i think it's just fine to divide the year in half or not have it all planned out...sometimes you need to be able to make decisions based on what feels right later
way to go irongirl
How about IMWI on September 11th?? You don't want to go to Rev3 - I've heard that there are going to be all sorts of shady people there (BDD, Jeff, MattyO, etc.). Do you really want to associate yourself with them???
Ok... I give up... Rev3 Cedar Point sounds like it is going to pretty fricken sweet!
No matter which option you choose for fall, the year looks awesome!
Happy 2011 to you Mandy!
You are going to have one heck of a year. I'm voting for you to come to Cedar Point (I know we probably don't have a say, but I thought I'd throw that out there!) Would love to meet you!
I'm so excited to watch your journey to Lake Placid, and so cool that Derek will be there with you :). No need to set anything in stone after the IM, it'll come together in time!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Good luck on your plan. When a race in Italy?
Happy new year.
Wait... You're doing IMLP? I had no idea!
(hardeeharhar)
We'll keep talking about plans for fall. I'll be road tripping it a lot... and you are welcome to join in on that! :) I'll likely be taking the fam damily to CP... but if we have a seat it's all you!!!!! Mind you you'll be driving to Ohio w/ TWO 4.5 year olds. Ear plugs will be highly recommended!!! Noise canceling head phones?? SOMETHING! :D
Great Plan.
I'm pretty sure I will be at REV3 Cedar Point. If not racing then volunteering.
Sounds like you an awesome year planned! If you come to Cedar Point can Bailey come too??
It is hard to think that far ahead race wise. I will definitely see you in CT for the REV 3. I am doing the Olympic, but will stick around the next day to cheer you on!!
