It is no surprise that I have a huge list of what I would really like to do, followed by what I can really afford to do, followed by what the realities of what time and life will allow me to do. I should have my 2011 plans secured within the next week or so. At this point, the only races I really have set in stone are The Tuckerman Inferno, and the obvious race I have been yapping about since July (Ironman Lake Placid only 230 days away!!!!)
Actually, the one thing I know is that I will be volunteering at a few more races this year; local sprint tris that I usually compete in but just might not fit right into my IMLP training schedule. This will be good for me because I get energy and motivation from helping other people, and nothing is better than a little volunteering to get that jolt. If I ever get too old to race or something then I would definitely still volunteer a bunch, it is that good for me.
As far as races and other adventures, I am looking beyond the Ironman too, I don't want to get the post-IM blues. I have a trip in Baxter planned post IM (if that place doesn't make a person happy, nothing will), then I plan to do a few more races locally to end the season.
It is kind of funny, when I started writing, I didn't think I had a lot to say, I just liked that Calvin and Hobbes cartoon (in my humble opinion, the best, most brilliant cartoon EVER).
I hope you all had a awesome Sunday.

It is better to wait to set a schedule. It is so early. Have a great weekend
I am with ya Mandy! So many cool races but unfortunately only one Jeff.
My main goal is EXACTLY 24 weeks away. Every thing before that is training and everything after is unplanned.
remember that stupid bumper sticker, that said something like too many men, not enough time? Our sticker would say, too many tri's, not enough time. You posted some nice numbers for November. Keep up the good work.
I feel like Calvin myself! However, I have had to gain some control over my schedule and it has been hard! I love racing!
OMG I am considering quitting my job so I can experience all of the races I want to do before my body falls apart. This whole job thing is so overrated, right?
Actually I am shocked you only have 2 events listed..... by now I figured you'd have 4 or 5 more.... You're not gettin soft on us, right? =:-[
love the "sort of"..gotta have that flexibility to change with the fact that sometimes...life happens. Nice totals, too.
I am very impressed with the swimming - way to go, girl!
impressive post!!!!
If you can pull it off (financially), before IMLP sign up for another IM somewhere (half or whole). Blues will be diminished because you have something else to look forward to.
Happily, all our kids are Calvin-like. I'm always pushing them outside to go play some Calvinball. Now how could a race be run the samw ay?
Nice numbers! And great goals. I too find my self getting crazy about what to enter for 2011. Even if I had all the money and time in the world it would still be hard! Cheers!
I am think very much like you. If my monetary and time resource were endless I would bnever be home becasuse i am always seeing stuff i want to do.
Hah - I made that mistake last year. Laundry list of events that overwhelmed us. This year we are cutting all the way back. Need more time to relax etc.
Planning some other races, cool trips/events, etc for after IMLP will definitely help with the post-IM blues... at least it did in my case!
I LOVE CALVIN AND HOBBES!!!!
Aside from that... I hope we can actually 'meet' in Lake Placid! I'll be there with Eric (hubby) to cheer on friends and he (Eric) may sign up again for 2010 - you never know...
You are a BUSY girl!! GO, GO, GO!!
HAHAHA, lets see, its febuary, would you rather be in Maine/Ohio or Costa Rica, thats the easiest decision in the world, and so what if a race happens to be going on at the same time of the visit. Thats just added fun
Rev3 Costa Rica look unreal
******* 230 *******
