I'm just saying...if it is 40 and raining sat am don't bother looking for me!!And another that said:
I just want to make it clear, I might not show up. It doesn't make me a wimp. And this last one:
You are going anyway aren't you? Of course you are. I might not make it.Right.
If they want to see tough conditions, they should see Regina's post on the Bronx Duathlon in April. The photos of that race are pretty crazy, but I am pretty sure it isn't going to be all that bad. Just in case, I am giving the camera to my sherpa (my mother) and hoping she gets some good shots of the deluge.
Race report to follow on Sunday!

I'm supposed to be riding long on Saturday with the same rain mixed with a little thunder and lightening. I'm sure the weather won't be that bad (at least I'm hoping).
Have a great race!
Have a great race! Just be super careful out there on the bike. I'll be sending fast race mojo your way!
fingers crossed that somehow the rain misses you! Just like KC said be careful and good luck! One thing I am noticing is everyone is starting their races and some of my favorite parts of blogs are race reports so look forward to reading yours!
You go girl! it's actually great race experience. and the next one sans rain will be a cake walk for ya!
Enjoy your reward for all your hard work!!!
I would go clear or yellow for race day.
Ok, well if you can race in the rain this weekend, I guess I could go for a run in the the rain after work...way to make me feel guilty!
Bummer about the rain! I think your friends' emails are hilarious! Ha ha! Good luck this weekend! Can't wait to hear all about it. :)
ha! thanks for the nod. It was hell, but in the end to know you battled through it while others stayed in bed (ok, I would have stayed in bed too had I not had a coach to report back to) will make it so worth it in the end. Also, stuffed french toast and hot coffee afterward helped me feel a bit better!
Your mom is a trooper and so close to mother's day too. Good luck!
Have a great race! Stay OFF of any painted lines! You will do GREAT!
OMG I was dying reading your first job, too funny. I always feel like crazy race day weather just makes for awesome stories, so I usually suck it up and try to just have fun with it...except with I'm freezig my you know what off
Good luck with the race. I hired someone to take out the rest of the trees today. Seemed like the right thing to do.
Good luck today! Can't wait to read the report and see the pictures.
At the 2009 Boise 70.3 the water temp was around 63. Not bad. Then on the bike and the run it rained. In particular on the bike we got hit really hard with massive downpour rain. It came down so fast there was about and inch of water on the roads. That day we swam the swim, the bike, AND the run!
I did not like it much then. Now, when the weather report calls for rain I just laugh; nothing could be worse than Boise. I kinda miss it now. I am thinking of doing that race again. Maybe I will get lucky and it will rain again. :)
Have an awesome race
